Backstage, Triple H spoke with Chris Jericho and said that a year ago in the very same building, Kevin Nash tore his quad. Jericho found it ironic, saying it was two years ago that Jericho caused H to tear his quad. Triple H urged Jericho to try and make history repeat itself.

Backstage, Ric Flair caught up with Austin and said even though Austin was the co-general manager, Triple H was the man who ran the show. The Hurricane interrupted and said after Judgment Day, Kevin Nash will make Triple H look like a Triple "Beeeeaaaatch!"
Kevin Nash defeated Chris Jericho. Jericho sped around the ring early on in the match, dodging Nash quite often until Big Daddy clocked Y2J with a clothesline. Nash controlled from then on until Jericho got a spark of offense in when he worked over Nash's leg. Jericho hit a Lionsault on Nash who was three quarters across the ring. Somewhere in here, the ref went down and out came Triple H and Ric Flair (still with his underdrawers hanging out) to beatdown Nash. Shawn Michaels came in to even the odds and the two cleared the ring of Triple H and Flair. Nash then hit Jericho with the Jackknife powerbomb and stepped on him for the cover as Michaels made the count, hence why I said "sorta." Nash and HBK briefly celebrated as H tried to clock Nash with the belt but the big man snubbed it with a boot to the face. Nash then hit Triple H with the Jackknife and made the nonchalant cover as Michaels again counted to three. Afterwards, HBK and Nash celebrated with HBK handing Nash the World Title belt.
